Beautiful spring

I haven't really had a chance to go out shooting or to be posting on here recently as I'm literally days away from handing in my final pieces of university work ever. Everything's a bit crazy at the moment and I can't seem to concentrate on one thing in particular but by this time next week it'll all be over (I cannot wait). I did manage to take a few shots of the pretty blue bells around my area though, along with a few other 'spring type' shots. I guess I like these photos because they really make me smile. More will come next week when I finish university and I'm free (at least until I get a full time job...).

What's in my bag

What's in my bag? (number 1) I always carry around with me my tiny mini Diana, I got it for a christmas gift from my parents last year and it hasn't left my bag since. Its light weight feel means I can carry it anywhere but don't let its small appearance deceive you this little camera knows how to take good pictures. From every roll I've run through it I've had at least five pictures I've absolutely loved. I'd recommend this camera to anyone, whether you just want to shoot fun pictures of your family and friends or landscapes this camera can do it all.

Food as art

I love food, I love cooking it, I love reading recipes, I love eating it, my friends and I are always talking about it. But when it comes down to photographing my favourite foods/recipes the pictures never come out, I become envious of food photographers who can capture the way food looks and tastes. Still, that doesn't stop me from trying. This time I used my trusty (ha) Diana Mini to shoot fruit, I put an orange on a chair to try and get the light and bananas on the window sill, in that way photographers do to get the light anywhere they can. I like the way they've come out, especially the orange one, even though they both don't look especially appetizing. I hope you're all having a nice time this week, I'm really enjoying the sunshine in Essex these past few days.
